This is only the third known bronze coin of Jihan Timur, who, through his father Alafrang, a son of Gaykhatu, was a direct descandant of the great Genghis Khan. However, Jihan was a mere puppet ruler of the Jalayirid Hasan Buzurg, who disposed him in 1340. His subsequent fate is unknown
